A Colombo Plan scholar, Horn Kee started his career in the Government Administrative Service at the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Trade and Industry in 1977. Following his MBA from INSEAD, France, Horn Kee become a partner at Transtech Ventures, one of the oldest private equity firms in Asia, focusing on venture capital investments in South East Asia. He later joined Rothschild & Sons (S) Ltd as Head of Corporate Finance where he was instrumental in the completion of a wide range of corporate finance transactions. Prior to starting CapitalCorp, he was Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Far East Organisation. He has also served as managing director of Orchard Parade Holdings Ltd and managing director and CEO of Yeo Hiap Seng Ltd.
Horn Kee has served as a Member of Parliament for 22 years, and is currently Singapore's Non-Resident Ambassador to Mexico. He was appointed to the Singapore Securities Industry Council in January 2008.
Horn Kee holds a Bachelor degree in Production Engineering and Management (First Class Honours) from Loughborough University UK; a Bachelor degree in Economics (Honours) from University of London, UK; a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Language & Literature from Beijing Normal University; and an MBA from INSEAD, France. |
